On top of the world - Keeonah RoD - Tokotas

Happy to have this finished c; Kee's last RoD pic! ♥ So I can finally submit my baby girl for dominance! Super excited for it and I'm super proud of both my character development and my steps I've taken artwise since I've joined Tokotas last year around April/May ^^

Keeonah drifted back off to sleep after the reassuring words of her handler. The next morning she awoke to find Aylen had already gone. Kee perked up her ears, her eyes scanning the room and ears ready to pick up any indication of where to find her. She heard some noise coming from outside and jumped off the bed, sprinting to the door and scooting outside, past Ahnah- which eared Kee a stern look, but she was too fast to be told off for it. She found both her handler and Dusty, the wolf pup, in the garden and a sudden feeling of a disappointed wanted to dampen her mood when she remembered her dream from last night. But what happened next wasn't at all similar to what happened in her dream thankfully. Aylen turned around when she heard her friend approach and opened her arms to welcome Keeonah. Kee barked happily and hopped over to Aylen, accepting the embrace. Aylen's short arms didn't quite fit around Keeonah's neck, the Tokota who was once a pup had grown up. Kee felt something brush against her front legs and she looked down at the eager face of the wolf pup. She lowered her nose to accept an affectionate lick from the pup. It was strange, Keeonah was the one who had rescued the pup from certain death, but it wasn't until now that she really looked the small animal in it's eyes that she felt a strong connection with it. Kee tilted her head slightly and the pup kept looking her in the eyes, their gaze not only locking- but their souls too. 

"Me and Dusty were just preparing to go out today." The Inuit girl stated to her Tokota, arms in her sides. "I want to show Dusty the mountains. What do you think?" Keeonah barked eagerly and bounced up and down on her front paws in anticipation. Her leg had fully healed from her encounter with the wild Tokota pack. It had been too long since Aylen and Keeonah went out into the mountains. It was a good day too, the sun shone pleasantly. "Alright then, I'll get my things." While Keeonah waited she sat down and looked at the wolf pup again. She felt it again, that connection and wrinkled her nose, leaning in to sniff the pup's fur. Where did you come from? Keeonah thought to herself. From you. Kee's eyes widened. Did the pup just answer her question in her own thoughts? She glared at Dusty suspiciously and the pup looked back, tilting it's head and lolled it's tongue out of it's mouth- mimicking Kee's own dumb expression. We're connected now. Kee heard the wolf pup say again in her thoughts. This is so weird. Dusty barked happily and jumped forward, nuzzling into Keeonah's legs. Thank you for rescuing me. Kee looked down at the pup's face and saw the genuine look of gratitude in it's eyes. She smiled and bumped it's nose with her own. You're welcome, little one.
